About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is inviting experienced Lead Caregivers to apply! We are looking to expand our Caregiver family. We are looking to hire someone that can work with our clients, caregivers, and other office staff. Job Description Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Weekend Lead Caregiver helps support the company’s goals of providing our clients “continuity of care”. The Weekend Lead Caregiver's standby period is from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During this time, you are not required to remain at home, provided you are able to report to the worksite within one hour of being contacted. You will be compensated for 24 hours every other week as long as you have been available for 24 hours even if the total hours worked are fewer. You are also eligible to work overtime and be compensated at the overtime rate. Requirements

  • C.N.A. certification with at least 3 years of experience
  • Must be willing to drive throughout the territory ( Montgomery, Howard, and Baltimore County)
  • Should have a desire to teach others and have strong communication skills with building rapport with families and caregivers.
  • Must be willing to work with either male or female clients. Personal care will be involved.
  • Must be willing to work in a home where cigarette smoke is present for a short period of time.
  • Must be willing to work around or in the same environment with pets. (e.g. cats, dogs, horses, birds, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Aiding with activities of daily living
  • Assisting with shopping, errands & transportation
  • Pick up prescriptions & assist with telehealth visits
