About The Position

The Weekend Guest Services Attendant is a short-term seasonal position, responsible for aiding patrons with general information on exhibits and museum programs, gift shop sales, events and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Interest in local history.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the Batavia Depot Museum and assess exhibit space and outbuildings for general upkeep.
  • Greet visitors and provide accurate and complete information regarding exhibits and events.
  • Manage incoming calls and address patron inquiries in person and on the phone.
  • Process gift shop payments.
  • Responsible for upkeep of visitor areas to ensure the museum is welcoming.
  • Follow District and Museum communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Perform all jobs and tasks within guidelines and rules of Park District’s Safety program.
