About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and supervision for our weekday early childhood ministries.

Requirements

• A heart for children’s ministry and a willingness to serve the Lord.
• Ability to adapt to last minute changes.
• Creative, able to think outside the box with a desire to keep the ministry fresh and exciting.
• Able to work in a team environment with a willingness to step in where needed.
• Computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google and the ability to learn new software as needed.
• High School Diploma
• Satisfactory background check required for all positions
• Able to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English.
• Able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in physical activities with children as needed to support ministry programs.
• Capacity to bend, kneel, and squat frequently to engage with children at their level.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a childcare setting
• Previous supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, loving environment for children.
• Recruit and train all childcare staff in accordance with childcare policies and procedures.
• Oversee and maintain equipment and supplies for classrooms.
• Oversee the development of age appropriate Biblical curriculum and lesson plans.
• Manage childcare budget.
• Monitor childcare registration and coordination of children by age groups.
• Supervise and train childcare workers and other supervisors.
• Work closely with discipleship leadership as needed for childcare needs.
• Serve as a contributing member of the Children’s Ministry Team and the full BPC staff.
