About The Position
The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Childcare Director to lead our childcare program in South Brunswick, NJ. This role requires a flexible schedule within the hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met for all children in our program.
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare management or early childhood education.
- Ability to work flexible hours between 6:30am and 6:00pm.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable and committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children and staff.
- Knowledge of relevant childcare regulations and best practices.
- Must meet Director requirements as specified by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing.

- Educational credentials relevant to early childhood education preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Manage and support staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement curriculum and activities that promote children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and center activities.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
