About The Position

Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national family law firm, is seeking an experienced and innovative Webmaster / Frontend Developer to work remotely near one of our offices in Colorado or Texas. The Marketing Webmaster serves as the technical owner of modernfamilylaw.com and is responsible for the site’s frontend development, performance, reliability, and day-to-day technical operation. This role partners closely with Marketing to implement website updates, improve user experience and conversion, configure tracking and analytics, and execute technical SEO initiatives under the direction of the SEO Manager.

Requirements

  • Seven (7+) years of experience as a Frontend Developer, Web Engineer, or Webmaster supporting marketing or product teams.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including responsive and accessible UI development.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing websites within a CMS environment (WordPress required).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Google Tag Manager and GA4.
  • Working knowledge of technical SEO concepts and experience implementing SEO tasks defined by an SEO lead.
  • High level knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe tools, and Zoom Conferencing Technology.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage details while understanding broader business context.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent internal client service skills and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and ability to respond positively to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to handle routine or emergent issues.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical owner of modernfamilylaw.com, including frontend code, CMS configuration, and template architecture.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance page templates and reusable components, including practice area pages, location pages, campaign pages, and landing pages.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and mobile-first layouts that function consistently across devices and browsers.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve website performance, including Core Web Vitals such as page speed, CLS, and LCP.
  • Coordinate with IT and hosting partners to support uptime, SSL certificates, backups, and platform updates.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing, Growth Marketing Manager, and Content Marketing Manager to implement UX and conversion rate optimization improvements, including forms, CTAs, navigation, layouts, and consult-booking flows.
  • Develop and maintain a reusable library of components (e.g., FAQ accordions, testimonials, attorney profiles, location widgets, booking modules) to support efficient page creation.
  • Support A/B and multivariate testing initiatives by building and implementing page variants and test experiences using approved tools.
  • Own the technical setup, implementation, and maintenance of website tracking infrastructure, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, advertising platform pixels (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn), and call and form tracking scripts.
  • Implement, quality-check, and document tracking events such as click-to-call, form submissions, consult bookings, map interactions, and other user behaviors as defined by Marketing and Analytics.
  • Ensure tracking is tested, consistent, and well-documented to support reliable reporting and decision-making.
  • Work closely with the SEO Manager, who owns SEO strategy and prioritization, to implement technical SEO initiatives, including sitemaps, robots.txt updates, canonical tags, redirects, and hreflang where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain structured data and schema (e.g., LocalBusiness, LegalService, FAQ) on templates and relevant pages.
  • Resolve technical issues identified in SEO audits, such as broken links, 404 errors, redirect chains, and inconsistent URLs.
  • Ensure HTML structure, internal linking, and markup support SEO best practices and AI-readiness objectives.
  • Implement and maintain website integrations with marketing and lead-generation tools, including HubSpot forms and tracking (in partnership with the Email & HubSpot Marketing Manager), chat widgets, scheduling tools, review widgets, and other approved third-party tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting form submissions, lead routing, analytics accuracy, or user experience.
  • Perform QA testing on new pages, features, integrations, and tracking implementations prior to launch.
  • Maintain documentation and a simple change log to ensure visibility into site updates and releases.
  • Support basic governance and best practices for plugins, scripts, and site changes to maintain long-term performance, security, and stability.
