Position Summary: Responsible for conducting QA testing of new product releases, including websites and mobile applications. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, appearance, user experience or content.

Requirements

  • Excellent focus and strong attention to detail
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet goals
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate technical issues
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with a variety of devices including; Apple, Android, Windows, Roku and more.
  • Experience with Jira is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Perfecto & Blazemeter or similar API webservice and GraphQL testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Datagrip or similar Database testing tools.
  • Exposure to JavaScript and/or Typescript is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with website and application developers to resolve issues and improve the product.
  • Conduct QA testing of new product releases, including websites and mobile applications.
  • Create google docs and keep checklists updated for projects assigned to you.
  • Create new tasks based on issues found during release testing.
  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
  • Develop and document testing procedures and guidelines.
  • Document test procedures to ensure standardization of practices.
  • Executing the test plan as scheduled and reporting results.
  • Identify, analyze and document program defects or opportunities for improvement, such as: questionable functionality, errors, bugs, inconsistencies and user experience improvement.
  • Make recommendations to improve user experience of website and mobile applications.
  • Review requirement documents and create/execute test cases.
  • Submit bug / improvement tickets according to established procedures.
  • Support continuous improvements in test coverage and test effectiveness.
