Purpose of the Position: The Technician for the McLeod Systems group is responsible for consulting, implementing, and supporting customer IT environments with an expanded focus on web-based applications, secure internet-facing endpoints, and integration services used by McLeod Software customers. This role ensures reliable, secure access to McLeod Transportation Management Systems (TMS) across on-premises and hosted environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Consult with customers on best practices for IT, networking, and web services solutions Install and configure McLeod solutions including databases and web services components Set up and maintain secure web-based endpoints and integrations Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, LAN/WAN connectivity, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, and WAFs Create, install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates Manage DNS configurations for customer-owned and McLeod-managed domains Provide 2nd-tier systems, hardware, database, and web services support Support customer migrations including P2P, P2H, and H2P scenarios Perform web application and browser troubleshooting. Ensure security configurations comply with industry best practices. Document environments, endpoints, certificates, and configurations. Support upgrades, patching, onboarding, and go-live activities. Ability to travel to customer sites up to 10%. Education/Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience of IT support, systems administration, or another related field, experience; or Bachelor’s with a minimum of 2 years of experience of IT support, systems administration, or another related field, experience; or any combination of applicable education, experience, and/or certifications, required. Windows Server administration is required. Networking experience required (TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, firewalls). Web services and SSL/TLS certificate management preferred. Web application and browser troubleshooting preferred. Working database knowledge required (DB2, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). Cloud based solutions and Virtualization experience preferred.
