About The Position

Rivet Operations Company is seeking a talented Web & Digital Interface Designer to create modern, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences across multiple platforms for Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRC SW). This role is focused on designing user‑friendly interfaces, building compliant and responsive websites, optimizing digital performance, and supporting communications for internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate has strong skills in UI/UX, web design, accessibility, and digital content creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • 5 years experience in web design, digital interface development, or UI/UX.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools and front‑end technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508) and federal web guidelines.
  • Ability to create custom ASPX master pages, design/develop landing pages, dashboards, bulletin boards, department templates/pages
  • Good Understanding of Microsoft.Net technologies, design, development, and delivery of custom web applications using .Net, ASPX and/or C#, JSON, Angular JS, jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap CSS and XML
  • Build custom webparts that pull data from various SharePoint apps (Power Apps/Automate/Flow/Power BI, Yammer, Planner)
  • Skilled in producing professional‑quality graphics for digital platforms.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with IA / INFOSEC concepts and requirements: Firewall Policy, Ports & Protocols, Cybersecurity, Cybersafe, and DoD A&A processes and standards.
  • Minimum Baseline Certification: CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces, website layouts, navigation systems, and interactive components.
  • Develop and test layouts for compatibility across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
  • Ensure all designs meet Section 508 accessibility and applicable federal web standards.
  • Use web frameworks and client‑side code to support functionality and user experience.
  • Create visually appealing graphics for websites, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Deliver design elements that support FRCSW branding and communication goals.
  • Build accessible, easily navigable web pages to communicate FRCSW programs and research.
  • Evaluate website performance, usability, and accessibility; document development standards.
  • Work closely with the Public Affairs Office (PAO) and internal teams to gather content and develop new interfaces.
  • Improve existing websites and multimedia systems through structured design and usability practices.
  • Contribute to visually cohesive and user‑friendly digital experiences.
  • Develop custom workflows, apps, and automation solutions using:Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online (SPO).
  • Support user adoption through training, documentation, and collaboration with the Web Team Lead.
  • Create custom connectors, dashboards, and interactive Power BI reports.
  • Enhance and support existing Power Platform applications.
  • Identify and implement improvements based on emerging technologies and design trends.
  • Maintain and update webpages, digital assets, and content structures.
  • Support internal documentation deliverables (TDDs, System Design Documents, Project Plans, Test Plans).
