Web, Ecommerce and Marketplace Manager

IDI: Insulation Distributors Inc.Chanhassen, MN

About The Position

The Web, Ecommerce and Marketplace Manager owns IDI’s website as a revenue-generating engine, leading the strategy, performance, and day-to-day execution across the website, ecommerce channels, and marketplaces. This role blends big-picture thinking with hands-on work, from shaping information architecture, user journeys, and content structure to updating pages, QA-ing forms, and ensuring data accuracy. A deep understanding of how users navigate digital experiences drives every decision, influencing site structure, product presentation, and the end-to-end buying process. Success in this role requires comfort operating at the intersection of marketing and technology, collaborating effectively with development and IT teams, and bringing enough technical fluency to ask smart questions and advocate for the right solutions. While marketing leadership sets direction, this person owns execution, bringing initiative, analytical rigor, and a bias for action to ensure IDI’s digital ecosystem fuels growth.

Requirements

  • Equally comfortable in strategic mode and execution mode.
  • Technically fluent: Understands how websites and integrations are built well enough to be a credible, informed voice in technical conversations; doesn't need to have all the answers, but needs to ask the right questions
  • Analytical by nature: Comfortable in data, fluent in what it means, and clear about what to do about it
  • Genuinely curious about the businesses they work in. Wants to understand IDI's customers, buying behavior, and competitive landscape before optimizing anything
  • A natural problem solver who marries business knowledge with digital expertise, grounded in how things work, not just best practice theory
  • Self-directed: Brings ideas and initiative, and treats their work with ownership and pride
  • Collaborative: Works effectively across marketing, IT, sales, and operations
  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • 4–6+ years of experience in website management, ecommerce, or digital marketing with a strong web/data component
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize a website as a revenue-generating channel
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms and/or marketplace management (Amazon Seller Central, distributor portals, or similar)
  • Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools including Google Analytics 4 and Looker Studio or comparable platforms
  • Experience managing vendor or development partner relationships
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, HubSpot, and marketing technology integrations
