About The Position

As key part of providing an excellent Digital Guest Experience, the Web Development & Integration Engineer creates and maintains websites, applications and integrations to better serve our guests and team members. This position is responsible for the creation, development and ongoing maintenance/support of web sites, mobile apps, data integrations, and other custom software, both guest-facing and operational in nature. The Web Development & Integration Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, packaging and delivering software and integrations to QA, production, and the casino websites. In addition, this position will identify, plan and execute integration strategies, create tools for other developers, ensure ongoing monitoring, and maintain, as well as optimize, builds for various applications.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Five plus (5+) years of experience developing websites and/or mobile applications.
Five plus (5+) years of experience in a computing environment with multiple programming languages and standards, including Javascript, html 5, REST API, Node.js, and Web Technologies (DHTML, AJAX, etc.).
Strong knowledge of working with data in SQL databases
Strong working knowledge of shell scripting and various Unix command line tools.
Ability to use backend communication protocols such as APIs and web services.
Experience automating both functional and integration testing of web, Linux and backend services.
Knowledge of test automation tools (Groovy, Selenium, Junit)
Knowledge of version control systems such as GIT or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Design, create and maintain guest facing and operational websites, web apps, marketing systems, and other custom applications.
Design, create and maintain mobile applications on the Android and Apple platforms.
Design, create and maintain data integrations, APIs, and related models and tools across websites, apps, and other products.
Plan and manage development activities, workstreams, strategies and roadmaps.
Maintain the integrity and smooth functioning of the company's integration architecture.
Perform code integration activities and perform branch integrations.
Define specifications and develop programs, modify existing programs, prepare test data, and prepare functional specifications.
Analyze program and application performance using various programming languages, tools and techniques.
Develop and implement standards and best practices, and provide guidance to non-technical staff in using software and hardware systems most effectively and efficiently.
Review project proposals, evaluate alternatives, provide estimates and make recommendations.
Identify potential process improvement areas, suggest options and recommend approaches.
