About The Position

Networking for Future, Inc. (NFF) is seeking resources to build, test, and deploy components of the SmarTrip backend system to support a Website modernization project. This project involves the onboarding of staff to support the implementation of the SmarTrip Mobile App 2.0 by providing application integration and deployment, including development, configuration, testing, and deployment of code to production environments for the applicable SmarTrip components and dependencies. NFF is a Washington, DC based company, a Cisco Gold Partner, and holds key strategic partnerships with VMware, NetApp, Microsoft, Riverbed, Splunk, and various System Integrators. Requirements

  • 5 Years Experience with the technology stack C#, .Net Core, and Oracle.
  • 5 Years Methods, tools, and techniques used to evaluate, select, develop, test, integrate, and troubleshoot systems software and hardware of all types.
  • 5 Years Demonstrated progressive responsibility with diversified technical level information systems and data processing management.
  • 5 Years developing in an environment for multi-tiered applications such as web services, APIs, clustered environments, database/application/report servers.
  • 5 Years proficiency with software development and project management methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or in a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 Years hands-on experience in development of General Orders Track Rights System and Site-Specific Work Plan application programs.
  • 5 Years Demonstrated experience working with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, GIT and tools used for development.
  • 5 Years hands-on experience with applications such as SmarTrip.
  • Master’s degree in an IT-related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement technical designs.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Participate in problem resolution related to system design and review.
  • Recommend approval of functional and technical design documents and enactment of systems, program enhancements, and updates of Web applications.
  • Analyze and evaluate system changes to determine feasibility, alternative solutions, and back-up procedures.
  • Work on General Orders Track Rights System and Site-Specific Work Plan application programs upgrades and enhancements to existing systems and ensure systems are compliant with approved standards.
  • Successfully complete mandatory security awareness training on annual basis.
  • Review and assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
  • Participate in the mandatory peer code reviews as part of the code commitment process to ensure that secure coding practices are being followed before code is merged into the main development branch.
  • Document those pull request reviews in Bitbucket.
