About The Position

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for developing and optimizing server-side logic, maintaining database integrity, and ensuring the application’s performance, responsiveness, and scalability. In addition, this role also collaborates closely with front end developers and other team members to deliver a seamless and efficient user experience. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four (4) year college or technical school; or four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Extensive experience in building efficient and scalable web APIs.
In-depth experience with RESTful service implementation and web services.
Skilled in using version control systems and code repositories.
Familiar with leveraging microservices architecture concepts to design scalable and maintainable systems.
Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Problem solving skills and detail oriented.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and fully understand their vision.
Design and implement reliable and efficient Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis to optimize application performance.
Work with databases such as MongoDB and Firestore, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and maintenance.
Lead efforts to enhance application speed, efficiency, and overall compatibility.
Drive product innovation by incorporating the latest technologies.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
