CAPTRUST is seeking a Wealth Operations Associate to be a part of the Wealth Planning and Solutions team that works directly with our wealth advisory teams to provide client and prospective client wealth management solutions. This includes support of our localized trading and investment management team, migrating client accounts towards our centralized trading platforms, and continually developing strategies and solutions to better serve our clients. This is a full-time position in our Sacramento, CA office. Hours are M-Th 8:00am – 5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am – 4:00pm.

  • Execute daily trading activities, portfolio rebalancing, and model updates
  • Prepare monthly cash reports and monitor new account transactions
  • Perform quarterly share class conversions, interval fund redemptions, and billing cash raises
  • Review and reconcile model discrepancies between trading and CRM systems
  • Maintain local models and daily flows templates and update as needed
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of accounts for proper model assignment and billing accuracy
  • Manage capital gains, dividend reinvestments, and other semi-annual portfolio adjustments
  • Generate fund screening, performance reports, and asset allocation illustrations using Morningstar
  • Support quarterly processes such as mailing list reconciliation and community page preparation
  • Maintain and update required minimum distribution spreadsheets and related client data quarterly
  • Prepare and edit monthly conference call materials and recordings
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Ability to build successful, collaborative, and trusting relationships
  • Instinctive aptitude for consistently creating accurate, concise, respectful, and easy-to-understand verbal and written communications conveying complex information
  • A strong sense of urgency about getting work done and solving problems to achieve results that benefit our clients and colleagues, even when faced with challenges

  • Desire to pursue securities licenses (Series 7 and 66)
  • Experience at a wealth management or financial planning advisory firm

  • Good organizational skills such as multi-tasking, adapting priorities, and meeting deadlines
