Schneider Downs Wealth Management Advisers (SDWMA), an affiliate of Schneider Downs, is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) specializing in investment advisory services and personal financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, as well as investment advisory services for retirement plans, including investment menu design and oversight, investment analysis, financial planning, and general education for retirement plan participants (RPS Group). SDWMA is seeking a Wealth Associate to support Senior Wealth Managers in our Personal Financial Services (PFS) Group. In this role, you will help deliver high-quality financial planning services and prepare meeting materials and client-facing deliverables to support a best-in-class client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of three years of experience in private wealth management, with a focus on creating financial plans and preparing client reports
  • CFP designation or CFP candidacy
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro)
  • Experience with a portfolio management system (e.g., Tamarac)
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage daily tasks (e.g., Dynamics)
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated commitment to professional and educational growth
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative organizational environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial plans for review by senior team members
  • Prepare and/or assist with client deliverables, including financial statements, asset allocation analyses, investment policy statements, and investment proposals
  • Assist with portfolio rebalancing and other investment support activities
  • Partner with Senior Wealth Managers to respond to client requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
  • Document daily tasks and workflows in the CRM system
