About The Position

This position is based at our Morristown East Branch (1216 E Main Street in Morristown, TN 37814). The deadline to apply for this opportunity is January 28, 2026. Role : The Wealth Advisor develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth at ORNL Federal Credit Union . Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in Wealth Management or Financial Advising is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • Series 7, Series 66 (or equivalent) and Tennessee Life and Health is required.
  • Broad knowledge of investment products and financial planning.
  • Strong knowledge of financial investment strategies, products and insurance.
  • Strong understanding of economic conditions and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills and accustomed to working with deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation required.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements personalized financial plans and investment strategies for clients.
  • Educates clients on various investment products and options.
  • Creates and presents planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial goals.
  • Stays informed about economic conditions and new financial products to enhance client portfolios.
  • Advises clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and identify up-sell opportunities.
  • Monitors client portfolios to ensure they align with the appropriate risk profile.
  • Adheres to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Potentially sells or coordinates the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
