About The Position

Founded in 1952 as WED Enterprises to design and build the world’s first theme park — Disneyland — Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is where imagination and creativity combine with cutting-edge technology to create unforgettable experiences. WDI is the creative force that imagines, designs and builds all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide. Imagineering’s unique strength comes from its diverse global team of creative and technical professionals, who build on Disney’s legacy of storytelling to pioneer new forms of entertainment. The Imagineers who practice this unique blend of art and science work in more than 100 disciplines to shepherd an idea all the way from “blue sky” concept phase to opening day. This internship provides an immersive experience in both legal and operational facets of the WDI, featuring a fast-paced environment. Participants are tasked with drafting agreements, working alongside claims and risk teams, gaining knowledge about regulatory compliance, attending various meetings, and shadowing employees. The position offers valuable perspectives on hospitality and entertainment operations, as well as chances to engage with LGA interns throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing confidential information
  • Adept at working independently while recognizing appropriate opportunities to seek guidance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited law school and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship
  • Be enrolled in an accredited law school pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026
  • Able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, California area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or work experience at a law firm, enabling them to start quickly and contribute effectively.
  • Contracting and drafting experience, which supports legal tasks and documentation.
  • Demonstrated interest in in entertainment law, copyright, Intellectual property (IP), regulatory or administrative law, or contract drafting courses (relevant course work is a plus).
