About The Position
Steampunk’s Legal Department is looking for a motivated, well-rounded Intern for the Summer of 2026. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to assist our in-house counsel with various projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how a legal team advises a business on risks and strategy in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Requirements
- Current Law Student who has completed at least one year (1L or 2L) at an ABA-accredited law school.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts for non-lawyers.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Copilot).
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be local to DMV
Responsibilities
- Support corporate compliance efforts.
- Assist with employment law matters.
- Learn about corporate intellectual property protection.
- Get hands on exposure to federal contracting processes, regulations, and laws.
