The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is seeking a Watershed Programs Manager for the Sustainability and Environmental Management Division to manage the County's regulatory and stewardship programs focused on water quality, stream health, and climate resiliency. This position manages a talented and dedicated 11-person team across 3 main areas of work: (1) ensuring public and private stormwater management facilities are built properly and maintained over time; (2) conducting pollution prevention and compliance work for County operations along with private sector activities, including overseeing the County's compliance with its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit; and (3) delivering a $30 million, 10-year capital program to construct green stormwater infrastructure systems and repair damaged streams and co-located infrastructure, alongside regulating development activities adjacent to streams.
