Requirements

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT) or the ability to complete in the first 6 months.
Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience or specific course work in water and wastewater systems is a plus.
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus.
Participation in AWWA, WEF, ASCE and other professional organizations as well as joining a committee would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Production of contract documents including plans and specifications
Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.
Water and Wastewater treatment process engineering and design support.
Prepares construction and design cost estimates.
Develops project specific specifications.
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect facilities.
Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.
