About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to be based in Buffalo, NY . Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil/Environmental Engineering with the intent to continue enrollment after the internship and must have completed at least 3 years of study.
• Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
• Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
• Perform assignments requiring an application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
• Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Develop solutions for routine technical problems with limited scope.
• Work under the supervision of a project engineer or senior-level team member.
