Water treatment sewage plant operator
About The Position
Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty under the guidance and direction of the STP Supervisor and Lead Operator. This is semi-skilled work requiring the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Starts and stops machinery and pumps, operates valves, observes operation of equipment and keeps readings in logs. Operates, lubricates and adjusts machinery and performs routine preventative maintenance and emergency repair of equipment. Investigates and resolves basic abnormal conditions. Operator keeps a daily log of activities that is auditable by state and federal agencies. Uses hand and power tools to make repairs and to perform building and grounds cleaning and maintenance. Practices and adheres to all company safety and operational policies.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or GED.
- Must possess a valid Colorado Wastewater Operator License.
- This is a 12-hour shift position.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all the essential duties of the position satisfactorily.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including successfully completing a thorough background investigation.
- For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record as defined by Company policy.
