Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of water treatment systems to maintain operation. Inspect, install and perform inventory assessments and preventative maintenance of equipment as required. Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions according to manufacturer's recommendations. Maintain documentation in computer system on new equipment, preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs. Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Oversee the maintenance of Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, Water softeners and filtration systems. Be familiar with the overall procedures used in Inventory Control (FIFO) and assist in the documentation and control of excess inventory. Obtain quotes from reputable and approved contractors as needed to address physical environment issues. Perform water quality checks to include but not limited to: free chlorine, total chlorine, and water hardness testing. Collect samples of RO water and dialysate for microbiology testing according to protocol. Perform safety checks and tests on all pretreatment water equipment including but not limited to carbon tanks, water softeners, RO units, UV lamps and ultrafilters. Must be skilled in supplies, equipment and warehouse terminology. Must be able to work on mechanical and electrical equipment, know the proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment, codes and regulation. Attend in-service and continuing education offerings in compliance with company policy and procedure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A four to five year apprenticeship or equivalent on the job training is preferred.
  • Journeyman Plumbing License for applicable states preferred.
  • May require applicable City license.
  • Valid driver's license required.
