As Water Resources Project Engineer at KCI, you will oversee the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in driving project success and maintaining client satisfaction through their expertise and leadership. Work with the Project Manager for successful project execution. The key responsibilities of this role include: Prepare, design and review engineering construction plans, drawings, and specifications for various water resources projects. Types of projects include assessment / design of drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, flood mitigation, stabilization, restoration. Develop hydrologic and hydraulic studies for floodplain, drainage improvements, climate resiliency, flooding, dam breach analysis, stabilization, restoration. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Design and prepare deliverables for multiple water resources projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies. Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary information, permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff. Perform quality control review of delegated work. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies. Communicate and collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives. Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables, providing regular updates to project stakeholders. Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction, future collaboration.
