As a Water Resources Intern in Overland Park, Kansas, the candidate will work with the Water Resources Specialized Solutions team and serve as a resource on assigned projects. Project focus could include one or more of the following: Data analysis, reporting/writing, and presentation preparation. Geologic and hydrogeologic interpretations. Federal grant writing and applications. Planning level cost estimation of water infrastructure projects. Regional Water Planning with a focus on short- and long-term water supply strategy planning. Sustainable infrastructure design. Water supply feasibility evaluations including reuse and aquifer storage and recovery. Under close supervision, the candidate will perform routine aspects of the water resources practice such as engineering assignments and water supply studies requiring knowledge and application of basic hydrology principles. The candidate will build and apply knowledge of hydrologic or hydrogeologic principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments.
