As a key member of our Water Resources practice, you will work on complex projects involving hydrogeology, water supply management, and water rights permitting. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental or related engineering discipline with emphasis on water resources. (required)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.). (required)
  • At least 7+ years of direct hydrogeology consulting experience working on water resources projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Experience with project management and business development. (required)
  • Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills. (required)
  • Experience with design and implementation of field hydrogeology programs in glacial, basalt, and clastic aquifer systems (required)
  • Familiarity with numerical modeling of groundwater flow and well test analysis. (required)
  • Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel as needed. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree the same. (preferred)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage regional and local scale hydrogeologic analyses for water supply management, regulatory compliance and new source development
  • Design and implement field programs and studies of aquifer systems
  • Oversee and manage the installation and testing of groundwater supply wells (and monitoring wells)
  • Support and manage aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) and surface recharge basin projects
  • Lead and support permitting and regulatory compliance projects, including water rights
  • Consultation and interaction with client representatives and other project stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and the public
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Task-manager and project-manager responsibility for scoping, performing, managing, and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments
  • Provide support for business development, new and existing client interaction, lead generation, and proposal development
  • Attend and publish prominent industry conferences
  • Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring junior staff
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
