About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer for the Water Resources group within our Baltimore, MD office. Typical projects involve stormwater management design, stream restoration / natural channel design, dam safety engineering, storm drainage design, floodplain management and analysis, and other watershed planning projects. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years water resources engineering experience
  • Experience in watershed and storm water management, design of stormwater quantity and quality control measures, surface water hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, and watershed/waterway modeling
  • Understanding of hydrologic & hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, TR-20, SWMM, and PondPack
  • AutoCAD and ArcGIS experience

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Able to work under AutoCAD and ArcGIS platforms
  • Conduct watershed and storm water management planning and design
  • Perform stream restoration / natural channel design
  • Perform roadway drainage design and culvert hydraulic analysis
  • Perform floodplain studies and prepare FEMA LOMC applications
  • Act as a technical mentor to entry-level engineers
  • Perform dam safety engineering/analysis including dam inspections, dam break inundation zone studies/mapping, dam hazard assessments, development of emergency action plans, spillway design flood development and spillway design, new dam design and dam rehabilitation design
  • Perform other duties as required
