About The Position
A civil engineering firm located in multiple locations is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for their Louisville team!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience
- PE License
- Design experience with a focus on water resources and/or environmental engineering
- Knowledge of the preparation/review of Engineering Plans and Specifications
- Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic and groundwater software
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, XPSWMM, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and WaterCAD
- Experience with HECRAS, HECHMS, PondPak, HY-8, and GeoPAK Drainage
Responsibilities
- Key point of contact for clients, contractors and local government officials
- Assist with review of project scope/proposals
- Design/manage treatment, wastewater collection and water system conveyance facilities
- Prepare grant applications and secure project funding for small to medium-sized systems
- Design wastewater treatment facilities improvements to meet environmental regulations
- Manage water, wastewater and reclaimed water supply through planning, modeling and permitting
- Mentor/train junior staff
