About The Position

Pratt Paper (GA), LLC has a need for a Water Reclamation Manager, located in Conyers, GA. This is located at our Wastewater plant. The Water Reclamation Manager will work independently and as part of the production team to support production efforts of the paper mill. The Water Reclamation Manager will be directly responsible for the management of all process waste water systems. The Water Reclamation Manager’s primary responsibilities prior to and during start up include, but are not limited to: Become familiar with all equipment and processes necessary to successfully pretreat process waste water from the mill. Understand the installation and operation of all systems associated with the waste water pretreatment facility. Participate in the commissioning of the waste water pretreatment systems Participating in supplier negotiations for biomass, chemicals and services that will be required to support the successful operation of the waste water pretreatment facility. After startup, the Water Reclamation Manager’s primary responsibilities as part of the mill operational team include, but are not limited to: Maintaining safety standards in and around the WWTP Maintaining chemical inventories Maintaining chemical delivery systems Determining, reporting and optimizing costs Performing process control laboratory analyses Collecting and tracking compliance samples and equipment Maintaining process control and permit compliance data Monitoring, maintaining and reporting Air and Water Permitting Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve issues related to the operation of the WWTP Interface with E&I and maintenance departments to insure proper corrective and preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment Train, develop, and direct WWTP staff

Requirements

  • A (4) year Bachelor Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred and/or comparable experience: Pulp and Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field.
  • The candidate must speak and write English at a college level.
  • The candidate must be able to understand and use simple conversions and algebraic formulas.
  • The candidate must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and biological systems.

Responsibilities
