Requirements

  • Detail-Oriented: Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations and implement timely decisions and recommendations.
  • Independent Worker: Manage time across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative: Seek input and coordinate with staff.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases, and software.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enrollment in an Environmental Science or Science undergraduate degree program from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of completed coursework.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with school sampling in accordance to Indiana Finance Authority and LCRI compliance standards.
  • Perform in home inspections to identify service line materials upon customer request.
  • Perform inspections identifying service line materials where contractors have done planned potholing projects.
  • Assist water quality staff with customer communication, Tier validations, and sampling associated with Lead and Copper Compliance monitoring.
  • Update systems of record as needed.
  • Assist operations staff in water and wastewater facilities with routine production activities, including data collection and evaluation.
