About The Position

Water Purification Specialists operate, maintain, inspect and repair our wastewater treatment systems and equipment ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. As a Water Purification Specialist , you will handle the operations and troubleshooting of several required processes including biological treatment-activated sludge, anaerobic digestion process, sludge dewatering, chemical neutralization by acid and caustic addition, biological and chemical phosphorus removal, and nutrient addition to maintain the health of the micro-organisms in the systems. In addition, you will retain reports, documentation, procedures, testing results, and other necessary records as required by the DNR, and for maintaining WI State Lab Certification under NR149. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
  • Related experience and training is required, typically a minimum of three (3) or more years is needed for obtaining the required skills.
  • Strong math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to comprehend technical regulations, instructions, policies & procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Proficient computer skills
