About The Position

Position Summary: The Water Park Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the water park, ensuring the safety of guests, managing staff, and maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment. This role involves supervising attendants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that the park runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and manage a team of attendants, and other water park staff. Provide training and guidance to staff on safety protocols, customer service, and operational procedures. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards of service and safety. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and events. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety rules and procedures are strictly followed by both staff and guests. Conduct regular safety inspections of water attractions, equipment, and facilities. Respond to emergencies, accidents, and incidents in a professional and efficient manner. Maintain knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures, and ensure that all staff are properly trained. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines. Guest Services and Experience: Monitor the overall guest experience and address concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensure that guests have a positive experience by delivering excellent customer service. Monitor the park for cleanliness, addressing any issues to ensure an enjoyable atmosphere. Assist with special events, promotions, and group bookings to ensure smooth operations. Operational Management: Oversee the opening and closing procedures for the park, including ensuring that all attractions are functioning and ready for guests. Monitor inventory levels for supplies such as equipment, signage, and cleaning materials. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Ensure that all areas of the park are clean and well-maintained throughout the day. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with management, staff, and guests to ensure smooth park operations. Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, maintenance, food services) to improve guest experiences and address any operational challenges. Report operational issues, incidents, and staff performance to management as needed. Emergency Response: Lead staff in emergency situations, ensuring a quick and coordinated response. Maintain up-to-date emergency plans and procedures and ensure that staff are trained and familiar with them. Provide first aid or assist with medical emergencies as required. Team Leadership: Foster a positive and motivating work environment to ensure staff morale and engagement. Encourage teamwork and cooperation among staff members to enhance the overall guest experience. Address staffing issues, conflicts, or concerns in a professional manner to maintain a harmonious work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Certification in, CPR, AED, and First Aid (required).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a water park or recreational setting.
  • Experience in managing teams and providing customer service.
  • Experience in safety procedures, emergency response, and incident management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Knowledge of water park operations and safety regulations.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (required).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergencies, including lifting or assisting guests if necessary.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including sun, rain, and varying temperatures.
