About The Position
Our client is seeking an Operator in Training to support daily operations at a water/wastewater treatment facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in water treatment while gaining hands-on experience in plant operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- Basic experience in water/wastewater treatment operations
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry into maintenance systems
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
- Must live within 15 minutes of the facility
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Currently pursuing or holding a water/wastewater treatment certification
- Familiarity with treatment processes, valves, pumps, and motors
- Understanding of safe work practices
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment systems
- Monitor plant processes, including flow, sludge, and effluent treatment
- Observe operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Collect samples and support quality control testing
- Maintain shift logs and operational records
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
