The Microsoft Datacenter Development Land Development and Community (LDC) team supports the development and delivery of Microsoft’s datacenter portfolio from site selection through design, construction, and operation. The Microsoft datacenter development portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. Within LDC the Cloud Infrastructure Water Program team is responsible for the planning and development and on-time delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure and service capacity to support construction, commissioning and operation of Datacenters needed to build out Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. In this role the Water Program Manager will manage wet utility due diligence, water and wastewater permit planning and approvals, and support enablement of offsite water and wastewater infrastructure during site acquisition, land development, design, and construction for datacenters throughout the Americas. This role requires regular engagement with key Microsoft stakeholders, including legal, design, construction, and operations teams, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants and contractors. The Water Program Manager will be a key player in both the strategy and execution of water and wastewater utility enablement for our projects. Water Program Manager is part of a team of water and wastewater program managers but works across the greater organization to drive an effective, fast and efficient water and wastewater utility development process to eliminate gaps between teams and ensure on-time planning and delivery of various water and wastewater utility projects and agreements. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
