About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and licensed plumber to join our team as a Water & Sewer Leak Locator. This role is responsible for accurately identifying, diagnosing, and locating water and sewer line leaks using specialized equipment and plumbing expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working with both residential and commercial plumbing systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in plumbing with a focus on leak detection preferred.
  • Proficiency with leak detection technologies and sewer camera equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, water distribution, and sewer systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and utility maps.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and around excavation sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Plumbing License preferred
  • Familiarity with municipal water and sewer infrastructure.
  • Prior utility locating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize leak detection equipment (acoustic listening devices, ground microphones, line tracing tools, cameras, etc.) to identify and pinpoint water and sewer leaks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of underground, concealed, and exposed plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose issues in water supply lines, sewer lines, and service connections.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings, including location, severity, and recommended repairs.
  • Collaborate with plumbing teams to plan and execute repair strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to supervisors, team members, and customers.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
  • Respond to emergency leak situations when needed.
