About The Position

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Class I Operator for our Greenville, MS plant. As a Class I Operator at Waggoner you will play a vital role in our environmental remediation and compliance projects. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring the safety of all team members, and assisting in various environmental projects across Louisiana and Mississippi. Requirements

  • Class I Certification: Possess a valid Class I Operator Certification.
  • Environmental Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in the field.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency in operating and maintaining various environmental remediation equipment and machinery.
  • Safety Focus: A commitment to safety and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate and maintain Class IV equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and treatment systems, to ensure efficient and effective remediation processes.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards while conducting remediation activities.
  • Safety Oversight: Monitor and enforce safety protocols to protect the health and well-being of yourself and your team members.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, operational activities, and compliance reports as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers and fellow team members in various environmental projects, including site assessments, remediation efforts, and data collection.
