Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Operators near Starke, Florida! If you enjoy working outdoors protecting nature’s precious resources, water, then this position is for you. The Water/Wastewater Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility as directed by the Project Manager. Work Schedule & On-Call Details Our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but we offer flexibility to accommodate individual needs. Once established in the role, operators participate in an on-call rotation based on availability—typically ranging from every other week to once a month. We offer a $200 on-call stipend for each rotation. What would you need to succeed?

Requirements

High School Degree or Equivalent.
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Must possess a valid State of Florida Class "C” Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
Being able to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as following safety procedures.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

Responsibilities

Monitor water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, adjusting as necessary to control their operation.
Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards.
Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records.
Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties.
