About The Position

General Description: Effectively manage 4 or more maintenance mechanics/operators. Supervise water testing samples on a daily basis. Attend meetings as scheduled or called. Supervise, evaluate, and direct personnel on shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity, and ensure proper training of staff. Perform other various duties as needed or as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess wastewater treatment experience and understand analytical numbers
• Must be able to obtain a wastewater license within a year.
• Be able to effectively manage maintenance and operations in wastewater department
• Order supplies and parts needed to operate wastewater (chemicals included)
• Possess basic computer skills
• Be able to effectively interface with the city waste water treatment plant supervisors on daily basis.
• Be able to work all 3 shifts as needed
• Heavy lifting required
• Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Self-Motivated/ High Sense of urgency
• Able to perform under High Stress situations
• Ability to be flexible as needed; including weekends as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
