About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring the expected service delivery of residential services for all children in care. The Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily operations and direct care staff of their designated shift to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care and to ensure delivery of residential services. The Shift Supervisor is tasked with creating a safe environment conducive to learning and behavioral management. 3rd shift hours: 10pm-6am

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Google Drive) with the ability to learn new software.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting and applying ORR P&P.
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
  • Cleared tuberculosis test results.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations.
  • Cleared background checks from appropriate entities, including Child Abuse and Neglect and FBI criminal background.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.
  • May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
  • Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
  • May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
  • Must be able to provide First Aid and CPR.
  • Must be able to perform physical holds as instructed in Crisis Prevention Intervention training (CPI).

Nice To Haves

  • Related supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
