As a Staff Engineer in the Wastewater Department, you will support wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, technical staff, and clients to assist with project design, analysis, and coordination while continuing to develop engineering experience and technical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year program
  • Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Interest or experience in wastewater or municipal infrastructure projects preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and technical documents for wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Performs engineering calculations and design tasks under the direction of project managers and senior engineers
  • Utilizes engineering software for analysis, modeling, and design development
  • Supports construction administration activities, including submittal review, field observation, and documentation
  • Coordinates with surveying staff and engineering technicians to support project development
  • Assists project teams in meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
