About The Position

A Wastewater Operator operates and maintains the wastewater systems assigned to ensure effective and efficient operations. This role is also responsible for facility operations/maintenance, process control, distribution monitoring/maintenance, OEPA reporting and, system management are all duties that will be consistent with the position as well as any other duties assigned related to the functions of the job.

Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent required
Must have or Obtain Ohio EPA Water/Wastewater License Class "A" or above
Authorization to work in the United States
Ability to travel 10% or less

Nice To Haves

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations: >2-5 years (Preferred)
Water Plant Operations: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
Performs process control and other duties necessary for routine facility operation
Calculate readings and prepare reports as needed
Accurately report drive and labor time on each assignment
Housekeeping duties at each facility
Attends operations meetings to stay informed
Performs technical troubleshooting
Provide excellent customer service to the public
Ensures vehicle, equipment, and tools are kept clean, organized and in working order
Available 24/7 365 days/year for an emergency response and on-call for wastewater plant unless prior approval is granted for absence
Assists other departments as needed
Be available for on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies
