About The Position

Come join the Utilities team at Black Butte Ranch! The Utilities/Wastewater department provides potable water for domestic use on the Ranch and treats wastewater to a non-polluting form. The department monitors and maintains miles of piping, electrical and mechanical equipment, buildings and facilities and a variety of vehicles. We're currently hiring a full-time Wastewater Operator. This position is responsible for maintaining all components of the water and wastewater systems and for ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards and regulations. Our ideal applicant has working knowledge of wastewater treatment process controls and operations, can run basic wastewater lab tests and analyze samples, has mechanical knowledge of pumps and motors and basic electrical knowledge, can read maps and blueprints, can drive large trucks and heavy equipment, and can meet the following physical requirements: lift up to 75 lbs, able to dig in rocky and compacted soil for extended periods in inclement weather, and can work in small, confined, dark areas.
