Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in water or wastewater operations (industrial or municipal)
Knowledge of EPA and State regulations, plant operations, and lab testing
Strong troubleshooting skills—mechanical, electrical, and controls
A knack for teamwork, communication, and organization
A passion for environmental protection and a drive to make things better every day
Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate
Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the state of Wisconsin or working toward one
Experience with advanced treatment technologies such as MBR, biomass management, membrane processes, SCADA systems, and related safety practices
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical basics, pumps, valves, piping, dewatering and solids handling equipment, hydraulics, neutralization and pH control, and biogas reactor operations
Familiarity with microbiology, lab tests, and terminology like TSS, MLSS, and conductivity
Experience with PLC and SCADA operation and programming
Live within 30 minutes of Almena, WI
