About The Position

We are seeking a Wastewater Engineer to support municipal infrastructure and water resource projects in the South Jersey / Philadelphia Metro area. This role focuses on planning, design, and implementation of wastewater and water treatment systems, helping communities maintain safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working with municipal utilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and water infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams while contributing to projects that directly impact public health and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working on wastewater, water treatment, or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and collection systems
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar engineering tools
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling or wastewater system analysis
  • Background working with municipal clients or consulting engineering firms

Responsibilities

  • Design and support wastewater treatment and collection system projects
  • Assist with planning, design calculations, and preparation of engineering reports
  • Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for wastewater and stormwater systems
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify project conditions and progress
  • Assist with construction administration tasks including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field observations
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation management
