About The Position

The RX Waste Technician works on-site at hospitals sorting pharmaceutical waste, and provides waste sort feedback to customer. During a waste sort one must consolidate, prepare, and package hazardous and non-hazardous Rx waste materials applying federal, state and DOT regulations in preparation for transportation and disposal. Act as a liaison between customer and sales support.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
2 years of industry related experience as a lab pack technician, service specialist or driver, or the equivalent in related work experience
Current driver’s license (Class D) with an excellent driving record
In order to travel by air or access federal property, federal law requires individuals have a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative. This position may require the successful candidate to travel by air for business reasons, or service federal property. Accordingly, successful candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID, or TSA approved alternative.

Responsibilities

Travels between customer facilities providing on-site pharmaceutical waste sorting at a healthcare facility, as required or requested.
Maintains a rigid service schedule.
Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
Provides written and verbal reports to customer and supervisor.
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
