Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods! This job posting is for 2nd shift that runs 7 days a week. Team members work a rotational schedule of 4 days one week and 3 days the following week with the potential to work additional hours. Work hours are generally 1:40 p.m. to approximately 11:00 p.m./midnight. The base rate of pay is $21.85 /hour, plus a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed. This position is eligible for overtime pay.

  • Must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
  • The Team Member will stand(8-10 hours/day)
  • The Team Member will walk, bend, stoop, twist, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach above, across, and below, and at shoulder level
  • The Team Member will climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas and to work at elevated levels and various heights and in confined spaces, as needed
  • The Team Member will work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm to cold/freezing
  • The Team Member will work where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
  • The Team Member will perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
  • The Team Member will wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
  • Team Members must be on an “active” employment status.
  • Team Members must not exceed more than 4 attendance points at the time of application.
  • Team members must not have received a written warning in the past six (6) months or a written warning with suspension in the past 12 months from the date of application.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, washes, and sanitizes vats
  • Inspects vats prior to exiting the vat wash area for required cleanliness
  • Ensures the foamer is properly working and charged with selected chemical
  • Inspects vats prior to exiting the vat wash area for cracks and flaws
  • Trains for and performs other jobs, as needed
  • All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to personal safety and food safety
  • Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
  • Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
