JOB SUMMARY: The Wash Operator is an entry level position. The mission of Dairy One’s Wash Operations Team is to provide clean, dry, serviceable milk sampling vials to our field technicians 6 days per week. If you are the type of person that likes to meet or beat target goal quantities and times, then these fast-paced, high-volume throughput, iterative tasks may be for you. Wash Operators may be tasked with operating high throughput dish washers, preparing vials with a liquid milk preservative, closing the vial caps and boxing the finished products. Focus will be on achieving production and turnaround time standards in a safe manner. Work will be performed under supervision. Examples of duties performed include washing milk sample vials, pipetting vials, and preparing them for reuse and mixing simple chemical solutions. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a facility where there is exposure to some chemicals and occasional exposure to noise. The use of protective safety equipment may be required. MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS: Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring coordination. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Constantly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; and performs repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists. Regularly stands, walks, and reaches with arms and/or hands. Occasionally stoops, crouches, and bends. Ability to occasionally lift to 30 pounds. Qualifications
