In the Warranty Technician role, you will resolve warranty claims and issues. You will be responsible for interacting with personnel inside and outside the plant including customers, satellites, distributors, assembly groups, supply chain, logistics, etc. You will contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing daily 5S duties. You will troubleshoot and respond to warranty requests and authorize warranty charges appropriately. You will contribute to ensuring lessons learned from warranty analysis are communicated to the appropriate internal and external personnel, this is critical to mitigate repeat exposure of customer complaint. You will coordinate 3rd party electrical contractor services. You will identify and analyze trends in Warranty instances and provide technical support to all internal department to maintain and improve overall outgoing product quality. You will ensure compliance and assistance with adherence to the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) which includes following documented work instructions, proposing documentation updates based on process changes, clearly documenting warranty investigations and field actions. You will adhere to established service level agreements regarding warranty complaint acknowledgement and responses. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of experience with direct assembly of Panelboards/Switchboards and/or Return Materials processing in a manufacturing environment. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sumer, Sc will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Associate degree in business from an accredited institution. 7 years of experience with direct assembly of Panelboards/Switchboards and/or return materials processing. Experience participating in Problem Solving and Rapid Improvement Events. Quality related experience including ISO 9001. Experience with Project Management. Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. Experience reading and understanding technical blueprints or drawings.
