About The Position

Receives, stores and distributes materials, tools, and equipment within the warehouse. Operates material handling equipment to stow or issue materials. Conducts inventory of materials. Fills pick tickets or requests for materials from workers or vendors. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Requirements

Must have experience in stockroom/warehouse environment, including receiving, stocking, issuing materials and CRT experience.
Knowledge of computerized inventory and material control systems necessary.
Must have ability to operate forklift, order picker, turret lift and accurate accounting skills; NASSCO Forklift certification required.
Must have the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and be available to work any shift.
Must comprehend written and verbal instructions and hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warnings.

Responsibilities

Receive materials from outside vendors
Identify tags, records and retrieve materials to be used, stocked or issued
Operate material handling equipment to stow or issue material, equipment or supplies
Conduct inventory manually or electronically
Communicate with vendors and workers in person, in writing and by telephone
Perform warehouse maintenance
Other tasks as may be assigned relevant to the trade
Housekeeping in all work areas, including sweeping.
May be required to attend safety quality and/or process improvement meetings.
