Warehouse/Yard Jockey / $20.50 per hour / 1st shift
About The Position
Custom Assembly, Inc. specializes in the assembly, warehousing, and distribution of recreational vehicles. We are a family run organization that has been in business for 30+ years. The Yard Jockey is to assist in moving and spotting equipment required to facilitate the needs of warehouses. The responsibilities of Yard Jockeys include moving equipment, and conducting daily inspections, and coordinating with maintenance team on a daily schedule. Close attention to detail and care with our customer's vehicles is vital. Our goal is to have showroom-floor ready vehicles available to dealers upon arrival.
Requirements
- No CDL Required
- Position is home daily
- Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions including extreme. heat, humidity, and cold.
- Flexible as to working as a warehouse associate at times.
- Be able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assists dock workers in loading/unloading trailer.
- Responsible the transporting of trailers to and from the yard and dock doors.
- Read and maintain product schedule to determine materials to transport within assigned yard.
- Ensure that all loads are properly secure and safely moved.
