About The Position

Rio Grande Co. is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse/Yard Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading steel, rebar, and other construction materials, including fulfilling will-call orders. You will support a range of warehouse operations while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This is a non-supervisory position that reports directly to the Yare & Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of light industrial equipment and construction materials, including steel, rebar, and concrete.
Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to lift to 100 lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Load and unload customer will-call orders and incoming freight.
Receive and verify shipments to ensure accuracy of materials.
Operate forklifts and manually move materials as needed.
Assist customers, stock inventory, and load delivery trucks.
Perform general housekeeping to keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
Report damaged materials, shortages, or overages to the Operations Manager or designated supervisor.
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet warehouse and yard objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
